Lemonlight Studios

This project explores how we designed an AI data-driven video intelligence platform that helps brands instantly discover, understand, and repurpose their video assets.

Project Overview

Client: Lemonlight Studios
Industry: Video Production
Timeline: 5-day sprint
My Role: Product Researcher

Pitch Deck

This project explores how we designed a system that analyzes raw footage, generates rich contextual insights, and empowers marketing teams to produce polished, on-brand videos in seconds without needing traditional editing expertise. It also highlights our phased roadmap for evolving HeroFlow from an internal MVP to a scalable enterprise SaaS solution.

Challenge

Video teams struggle to scale post-production because their workflows rely heavily on manual searching, tagging, and editor memory. High-end brands like Apple, Rolex, and Delta need fast, consistent, premium outputs that generic AI tools cannot deliver. Without an intelligent system, repurposing footage for new formats, like social edits or TikTok cuts, becomes slow and inefficient.

The challenge was clear: How can we turn large video libraries into instantly usable creative assets?

Research

We analyzed production workflows and compared emerging AI video tools. While exploring platforms like Runway, Pika Labs, Synthesia, Descript, and Adobe Firefly, it became clear that most focus on generating new content, not understanding or organizing existing footage. Editors emphasized the time lost searching through raw assets, while marketers stressed the need for speed and brand consistency.

This highlighted a major gap: no current tool provides deep, intelligent asset analysis at an enterprise level.

Solution — HEROFLOW

We designed HeroFlow, an AI data-driven video intelligence platform that analyzes footage, generates rich metadata, and makes assets instantly searchable. With semantic search, contextual “HeroFacts,” and prompt-based editing, teams can quickly produce new, on-brand content without digging through folders.

Using Delta’s “Delta Dawn” campaign, we demonstrated how HeroFlow breaks down footage, identifies brand elements, surfaces alternatives, and creates social-ready edits in seconds. The platform roadmap moves from an internal MVP to advanced insights and, eventually, a scalable enterprise SaaS solution.

HEROFLOW DEMO VIDEO

The roadmap visualizes the phased growth of HeroFlow, moving from an internal MVP to a fully scalable enterprise platform.

Phase 1: MVP Launch
- Focuses on building and releasing the minimum viable product for Lemonlight’s internal teams. The goal is to validate the core idea with only essential features, automated tagging, basic search, and simple edit generation.

Phase 2: Insights & Intelligence- After validating the foundation, the next step is enhancing HeroFlow with advanced analytics and intelligence features. This includes a deeper understanding of footage, richer metadata, contextual insights, smart recommendations, and improved search precision.

Phase 3: Integration & Scale- In the final phase, HeroFlow is launched externally as an enterprise-ready platform. This includes large-scale asset support, API integrations, secure access controls, multi-team workflows, and infrastructure built for major brands. The product becomes a full SaaS offering capable of powering video workflows across industries.

Takeaway

"I learned the value of designing for the entire ecosystem, not just the end user interface. By understanding editors, marketers, and enterprise constraints, I realized that the strongest solutions come from aligning technology, workflow, and user needs, especially when working with AI-powered tools."
