Even with advanced fitness tools and personalized metrics, motivation often fades—showing that technology alone can’t sustain engagement. Dropout is a systemic issue driven by factors like lack of social support, boredom, goal fatigue, and limited feedback.
Research shows that individual, behavioral, and environmental motivations deeply influence long-term commitment, highlighting the need to design for human motivation, not just functionality.
